CHRIS MORELAND, partner

Chris is a founding partner of MSB and has devoted his entire legal career (more than 25 years) to representing workers who have been injured, harassed, discriminated against, or wrongfully terminated by their employers. Over that time, Chris has developed a reputation as a creative and effective problem solver, and has established a track record of success, having helped his clients recover tens-of-millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts while litigating on their behalf against some of the biggest companies in the nation.

Chris’s practice has taken him across the country – literally – he’s handled cases in at least 15 states and every region of the country. His work includes not only trial practice, but appellate matters as well. He has handled dozens of appeals involving a broad range of issues including employment law, personal injury, insurance bad faith, federal jurisdiction, and constitutional rights, and he has had the honor or presenting arguments in the Supreme Courts of Minnesota, Montana, and Nebraska. Regardless of location, Chris’s mission remains the same: tireless advocacy on behalf of those injured by corporate wrongdoing.

Chris is also an active member of the Minnesota legal community. He is a long-time member of the Minnesota Association for Justice, where he has served on the Board of Governors and the Amicus Committee, and he was recently selected to serve on the Board of the Minnesota Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association. He speaks frequently at continuing legal education seminars about employment law, personal injury, and appellate advocacy, and has authored several articles on legal rights and process. Respected by his colleagues and peers, Chris was named several times to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars List (which is made up of lawyers under the age of 40 or in practice for 10 years or less) and has been included on the Minnesota Super Lawyers List every year since 2018.
